Ganesh Chaturthi 2015 brought life to the campus amidst end term exams which had otherwise drained the energy out!
It all started with the welcoming Lord Ganesha on the 17th of Sept. with lots of colors, dance, music and masti! The colorful rangoli, the magnificent idol, the decorations and the ‘aartis’ created a blissful aura in the campus. The mouthwatering maharashtrian lunch including the very own Modak which symbolizes the purest form of energy in a spiral, was relished by all.
The evenings were equally interesting. There were a lot of games organized which added to the cheerfulness and the liveliness of the festival.
Traditional day was observed on the second day which saw an excited participation from guys and girls alike. Students in their traditional ensembles and their enthusiasm brought the entire SIMSR campus to life! The campus looked more alive and colorful with everyone going ethnic. The celebrations lasted for two days until Ganesh Visarjan on the 19th of September 2015, which was accompanied by an equal vigour and enthusiasm.
Lord Ganesha is worshipped as the remover of obstacles and the bestower of wisdom, prosperity and good fortune. We pray to Bappa to bless us all with courage, confidence, health and good luck for the year ahead!
