A Coke is a Coke… You can’t buy a better Coke!

This simplistic caption, once given by Andy Warhol was reiterated to the SIMSR students on August 7, by one of the most successful marketers, Mr. Prabhakar Tiwari, the General Manager for Marketing at CEAT Tyres.

Mr. Tiwari, an alumnus of IIM Bangalore, presently focuses on leading the Motorcycle and UV Radials segment business at Ceat Tyres. Having worked in leading MNC’s like Marico, Avon Beauty Products and Danone Dairy India, Mr. Tiwari has a rich experience in the field of Sales, Marketing & Brand Management.

The man behind successful branding of many top league products, held his audience for more than an hour and kept provoking thoughts on the simplest of things. His candid discussion on how business tactics are most essential in branding was hugely applauded. He brainstormed the students on their understanding of topics like Brand Equity, Brand Insights, Inter-Branding and Brand Leadership. With an interactive session, Mr. Tiwari shared his plethora of marketing experience while tactfully instilling the importance of brand building to the audience. After all the domain knowledge and branding aspects shared with the students, his only cent for the batch was “Work Hard and Enjoy Life” despite the ephemeral highs and lows.

The overwhelming response for this corporate interaction is credited to “The Interface”- The Marketing Club of SIMSR. After having hosted a series of interactions with brands like HUL, Reliance, J&J, this was yet another effort by Team Interface to foster the culture of Knowledge Sharing among the students.
