K.J.Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) Associates with UNICEF

SIMSR is proud to announce the association of Consultancy@SIMSR, the Consultancy Committee with UNICEF and the Government of Maharashtra.

C@S is now working on 4 projects with UNICEF in the areas of implementation of Right to Education Act in India and Water Sanitation issues. Each project deals with pressing issues of the society. These projects will not only allow the consultancy members to apply their managerial knowledge to recommend tangible solutions but also sensitise students towards the current state of affairs of the under-privileged. It gives SIMSR a colossal opportunity to work with UNICEF and bring a tangible change in the society.

The work areas identified for the students are:

• Gap Analysis of the role and performance of the Kendra Pramukhs along with recommendations
• Statistical analysis of the performance and the functioning of SMC (School Management Committee) using survey findings
• Analysis of Research Funds for the education sector and their utilization by the government
• Designing a detailed proposal for the rural technician vertical to address water sanitation and health issues in rural areas along with sustained livelihood with a projected impact of Rs. 7 Crores

UNICEF and KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research together wish to undertake projects which have a perceivable social impact, and also present to the students an opportunity to apply and enhance their management acumen.

K.J.Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) is proud to have association with UNICEF and wish the C@S committee very best for its future endeavours!
