K. J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research (SIMSR) is a premier institute
that has been providing quality management education and training for over 25 years. It’s only
through its unceasing endeavor for excellence that the institute has raised to the stature of one
of the top 20 business schools in the country.

We, at SIMSR have always tried to effectively link arts, sports and culture into the academic
framework to reiterate the need for holistic development of students. In this pursuit, we will
once again be hosting Mélange – 2012, annual Inter-College Business and Cultural Festival
on 17th and 18th February, 2011.

MELANGE 2012 – Where Ideas Converge

We warmly welcome you to Mélange 2012 – Where Ideas Converge. An Idea not only changes
your life, but can also transform it. Over the last one month, students have been working hard
at work, coming up with ideas for this two day fest, to be held this Friday and Saturday. The
fest brings together events across management, marketing and cultural themes, and over 120
colleges from all over India are participating in it. What we are today is because of the various
ideas of numerous people who have taken the pain to incubate and develop their idea for the
benefit of mankind.
The festival will be broadly divided into management, cultural and fine art events. The students
of Somaiya correlate Melange with the blend of experiences in life. Experiences that will make
you laugh, cry, scream, dream, plan, execute and celebrate.

When Ideas converge, the BEST evolves! Ideas help us to build creativity, Creativity leads to
thinking, Thinking provides knowledge and it is Knowledge that alone Liberates.

Come, witness and participate in Mélange 2012 – Where Ideas Converge, where we challenge
budding managers of tomorrow in the areas of strategy, marketing, operations, finance
