EYE-DEA 2011

E Cell at SIMSR organised an event called EYE-DEA 2011 on 13th Sept. 2011 which provided students an opportunity to showcase their business idea. The ideas invited were not restricted to any particular industry or area so students were free to come up with any innovative idea or something which improves the existing way of doing things.

One page Summary of business idea were invited for the first round.The event received 42 entries which were evaluated on parameters like innovation and feasibility .Second stage of the competition was the Elevator pitch where the 13 shortlisted teams were given 2 mins time to present their idea to judges in the form of power point presentation or video. The judges were the renowned entrepreneurs Mr. Dhiraj Khot who is Chief Executive Officer at August Solutions Pvt. Ltd and Mr. Harish Aiyer who is Director at Softcell Technologies Ltd.

The participants came up with many innovative business ideas from different sectors like Hotels,Automobiles etc- such as Spa cabs, Clean Cars, Manoranjan, Grahmitra etc.
The judges adjudged the ideas on basis of innovation and feasibility and provided valuable tips to take these business ideas to the next level.
Cash prizes and Gift vouchers were presented to the winners and all the round 1 qualified entries received a participating certificate. Winning entry was the “Spa Cabs” from Aditi Baid and Aayushi Sureka from PGDM-RM batch.

E cell is coming up with another even called E-NNOVATE’11 a B- Plan workshop which will provide you the opportunity to learn the nuances of preparing a fully fledged business plan. The workshop would be conducted by Prof Radha Iyer of SIMSR. It is designed to give students a complete insight into the art of developing and presenting a B-Plan.
