‘The Street is our stage’ was a street play competition organized by the K. J. Somaiya chapter of CII Yi, with the objective of creating awareness on the important world issues of environment and health deterioration. The event was conducted on the 30th of August, 2010. The 6 brilliant participating teams’ plays were centered on two basic themes: environment and health. The event opened to a full house in the college auditorium and there was not a dull moment. The audience watched enthralled as the drama unfolded and encouraged the performing teams. The judges, Dr. Rahul Mirchandani, National Chairman, CII Yi and Mr. Ashish Kumar Pandey, veteran theatre personality and Bollywood actor were all praises for the participants and their innovative ideas and confided that picking just one winner was extremely difficult. Ultimately though the top three teams that made the cut were:
1st winning team:Crusaders -MMS-2nd year
2nd winning team: Rooh Ba Ruh -MMS-2nd year
3rd winning team: Halla bol -PGDM-1st year
